Lizzy Schoelten's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Guys the unthinkable has happened...

Our beautiful friend Lizzy Schoelten (Lilly Grace) was in a terrible car accident.
The extent of damage to her body is severe, with many broken bones.

I recently received a message from Lizzy.

"I'm in hospital with 6 broken ribs at multiple places, and a broken pelvis and something with my lungs and heart. Car crash yesterday, not sure whats next but I'll be here for a while"

She shared they needed the jaws of life to pry the car open.

As we can all agree, Lizzy needs our help right now.

I ask anyone who is near to the hospital to visit her if you able. She is at SCU.

I have also organised this fund for her recovery.

It's early days and there are still a lot of unknowns ahead. Let's support Lizzy any way we can.

Update from Lizzy

"May this serve as a reminder to those of you who know you're overdoing things

Yesterday morning after a most beautiful sunrise at mnt Tinbeerwah with Paul Sz delishious ceremonial cacoa my day suddenly took another course as the drivers side of the car I was driving got hit with well over 80kmph by a 4x4.

I feel so grateful to be alive and to have had the help I've had as quick as I did.

I am in Sunshine Coast University Hospital where they doctors, trauma team, pain management, nurses, physiotherapists and my choosen family and friends are taking the best care of me.
I have 14 fractures in my ribs on the right side, a little hole in my lung, a bruised heart and 4 fractures in my pelvis. I think it's a miracle my body is still in such good state considering the smash, it could have easily been so much worse. But at the same time I'm learning to accept what has happened and that my body is broken. I have never felt this level of pain frustration, strenghth, nausea, sadness, grief, surrender, gratitude, claustrophobia, panic, calmness and feeling trapped in my body and mind.

As a bodywork-therapist and young woman I feel so handicapt. I can't move, can't go to the toilet myself, and am limited to even reaching for something simple close by. I have no other choice than to surrender, allow, ask and receive help.

I have had people bring me love, comfort, food, water and natural medicine to help my healing. I can have visitors, and I would love to see your friendly faces. I am at ward 4b, room 29. I'll be here for a while. Please come visit me, if you feel like bringing food I welcome that too. Just message me on my mobile 0452546427. I am reading all your messages but don't always have the energy to reply as I often feel nauseous from looking at a screen.

I call upon my beautiful ZenThai friends and non ZenThai friends for loving touch and massage of body areas that are unaffected. Like my face, neck, arms, legs and belly.

Another way you might be able to help if you felr like it, my mother is coming to Australia next week. She needs to be picked up from the airport in Brisbane and I would love for her to have a warm welcome in whatever authentic way you can think up

My friend Jordan has just made a gofundme for me, thank you Jordan Austin
