LJ (Lloyd) Martin's Journey: The Road to Recovery

This is LJ (Lloyd) Martin. He is a wonderful, kind, respectful 18-year-old who just finished his first semester of college. LJ is his family’s pride and joy. Everyone who has ever met LJ immediately loves him. He means so much to so many.

On December 28, 2024, LJ was in a devastating car accident and is currently in the ICU of a Trauma Center. He is strong, resilient, and fighting courageously. Making small strides every day, but he has many more battles to overcome.

LJ’s injuries were extensive: dissected carotid artery, brain bleed, liver bleed, part of his intestines were removed, his gallbladder has been removed, broken jaw, dislocated left shoulder, broken bones in both arms, broken wrist, broken ribs, both femurs with compound fractures, and broken ankles.

This tragedy has turned LJ’s family’s life upside down. In an instant, their world has been thrown into crisis. LJ was driving his mom’s car, and the financial burden, alongside the emotional toll, is immense.
