Hi my name is Bailey Tate, I am a Junior at Grand Junction High School. I am a member of the National Honor Society and have a 4.0 GPA.
I have been selected to attend the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists to receive an Award of Excellence.
In order to attend this academy and receive my award I have to travel to Boston, Massachusetts on June 24th -26th with a chaperone. I am responsible for tuition, travel expenses, hotel and food for the week. Tuition alone is $1000.
During this academy I will be able to view a live surgery as well as attend several lectures from some of the greatest mentors in the medical field including Dr Jack Szostak, Nobel Prize in Medicine, Dr, Francis S, Collins, Director, National Institute of Health Presidential Medal of Freedom, Dr. Mario Capecchi, Nobel Prize in Medicine, Dr. Boris D. Lushniak, United States Surgeon General, just to name a few.
Not only is attending this Academy the trip of a lifetime for me, full of educational experiences, it will also enhance my academic profile and distinguish me as a promising future leader in medicine, enabling me to apply to some of the best Universities in our country.
