Lombok Earthquake Relief Fund
Our friends and their communities in Indonesia need your help now. At the time of writing this, a third earthquake (magnitude 7.0) in a week just hit Indonesia’s Lombok Island.
The Community Development Centre in Sembalun village on Lombok need donations to distribute water, food, clothes, sleeping mats/tents and medical supplies for those badly affected.
The first strong earthquake hit Lombok on Sunday 28th July, another on the 3rd August and another, the largest so far, at the time of writing this, August 5th.

Hundreds of aftershocks have been recorded and thousands of houses have been damaged or destroyed. Video of villages badly hit.
In Sembalun, as elsewhere in North Lombok, everyone is living in very basic refuge camps, with 65% of houses damaged or destroyed and continuous aftershocks making it unsafe to return to homes. This will be their living situation for the foreseeable future.
Money donated will be bank transferred to the Community Development Centre in Sembalun, Lombok. Food, water, clothes, sleeping mats, tents and medical supplies will be bought for those in need.
The Community Development Centre have also been driving out supplies to other isolated and badly affected villages in the region.
Donations are needed to contribute to their efforts, both short-term and long-term, to aid with distributing supplies, improving living conditions in the camps and trauma healing.

We are a group of Australians who have lived, volunteered and visited with and for the Community Development Centre in Sambalun. We were there as recently as this April on a trip with CERES Global. We are concerned friends and community members from Melbourne.
A little goes a long way, so please help with what donations you can.
