LMFC Goals Fundraiser
Tax deductible
We need your help!
The club is asking for your help to raise money for new soccer goals for the kids. For those of you that don't know, the LMFC is a registered non-profit organization that is run by unpaid volunteers and operates on a profit neutral basis.
Currently, many of the goals at Harbor Island are broken and getting to the point of becoming a safety risk for the kids. In addition, many of them are not on wheels and thus very difficult for volunteer parent coaches to maneuver each week. Lastly, we do not have enough smaller sized goals that are appropriate for the younger children.
Each goal costs between $2,500-$3,500. To fully replace the existing goals, the estimated total cost is $34,000. For this Spring, we are hoping to raise enough money to replace half of our goal system ($17,000).
Why not just raise club fees to pay for new goals?
The LMFC Travel organization currently provides 900 children the opportunity to play soccer across 65 teams, and provides financial aid to 125 children in the community that qualify. We are asking for your help to provide whatever you can, with 100% of the proceeds to be used for the equipment upgrade. We are hopeful that by doing this we can limit future club fee increases to the cost per player in the coming years.
