The Lobethal fire came through so quickly, Tina and Christel had no time to grab more than essential documents. By the time the fire trucks arrived the house was well ablaze. Tina’s son Josh battled through the night to fight the blaze, finally falling asleep on the driveway, Tina and Christel have lost everything, including precious family memories. Your donation of any amount would be thankfully received as they try to rebuild their lives from the ashes.
My name is Penne Willner. Christel is my mother-in-law , and Tina is my sister-in-law. I live in Toowoomba where we have been surrounded by fire and drought, but being over 2000 km away feel limited in what I can do to help in a practical way. The funds that have been raised so far ,and thankfully received by Tina ( through her son Josh Zadow), Tina has used so far to buy 2 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of knee length pants and a blouse for Christel and a foam underlay to go on the lumpy mattress she is currently sleeping on. There are plans to buy a few more basic clothes, and Tina is currently looking at a washing machine. Every bit helps when you are building your lives from scratch.
