Local 39 Strike Fund Oakland and Richmond Kaiser

Hi, my name is Glenn Stewart, and I am representing Local 39 Stationay Engineers for Oakland and Richmond Kaiser.. As of today (11/10/21) we have been on strike for 54 days against Kaiser Permanente. Kaiser has refused to negotiate in good faith with our union. We are not asking to be the golden apple in the bucket, we just want to be in the bucket with fair pay. We are a group of 700 Engineers & Bio-Med techs that take care of all Northern California Kaiser Facilities. 9 months ago, we were called hereos during the pandemic, now, we feel like ZEROS! We came to work everyday to make sure patient care could be the best it can be, to protect employee's and members during this rough time. We put our safety last so everyone else could be first. Our strike fund has ran out, and most of the 700 Local 39 members are struggling to make ends meet. This includes supporting our families, making sure food is on the table, mortgages/rent are being paid. Money is running short for a lot of us, and we can really use some help! Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated and could save families from losing everything during these trying times. Thank you!
