Helping local communities in Costa Rica 2025

Hi,

My name’s Tyler and I am 13 years old. I am looking for your help in sending me on the trip of a lifetime with my school and in conjunction with Camps International (www.campsinternational.com), to Costa Rica for 4 weeks in July 2025, helping local communities and teaching local children English.

Where will I be going and what will I be doing?

The beautiful and biodiverse remote rainforest of Costa Rica will become my home on this exciting expedition. Work alongside conservationists to protect the natural environment and discover an array of colourful marine life as I learn to scuba dive. Get back to nature and experience living in the heart of the rainforest, where monkeys and toucans will be my closest neighbours.

Working alongside local people, I will learn about innovative and sustainable solutions to environmental issues and get involved in inspiring projects to support the environment, wildlife and community. To top it all off, I will undertake my PADI Open!

What will I get out of the experience?

This fully supported expedition will provide me with a unique opportunity to live alongside rural communities, broadening my perspective on the world. It will allow me to push boundaries and step outside of my comfort zone, embarking on a personal development journey. It will enable me to reach and exceed my academic and personal potential, develop valuable life skills and gain key extra-curricular experience highly regarded by universities and employers.
