Local Donations for Mamas for Justice

We recently created a new group in our town called Mamas for Justice. It’s in response to the continued tragic injustice against our Black Community. As a group of Mother’s living in Floral Park, we have decided to focus on fighting for injustice, and looking for opportunities to educate our children and providing them with resources across our community. 

As you may know, Junteenth is this upcoming Friday. It marks 155 years since enslaved African-Americans were told they were free. We’d like to use this as our first moment of impact, but know that all of these efforts are a long road and are asking for support from members of our community and local businesses (and anyone outside of Floral Park if they'd like to contribute). 

All donations will be used to reinvest back into education resources for our town (i.e. library and schools) to help support anti-racism education. We know that this is key to change as are the children in our community.  Members of our group have already started discussions with our local library as well as our schools superintendent. We will be sharing our progress and supporters along the way, and hope you are willing to join us on this journey as we work to create a genuinely better world. Thank you in advance for your support.
