Erie PA Firefighter in the fight of his life!

Hi, my name is Levi and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Mike and Ella Smith (& Finn, their doggo!)

First and foremost, Mike is not aware of this fundraiser. In fact, he explicitly told us NOT to do anything of the sort…which is exactly why I’m doing it.

You see, Mike is an absolute hero like that. He has been a Firefighter for the past 15 years in Erie PA. In that time, he has saved countless lives, put out hundreds of fires, and did what these brave men and women do best. To Mike, risking his life is just another day on the job. His philosophy is “well, I like to believe that they would do it for me if needed.”

You can ask anyone who knows him, his friends, his family, his colleagues - and they will agree to run into a burning building for him, without hesitation.

Less than a year ago, Mike was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Within a few months of starting treatment, he was in remission and looking forward to returning to work. Unfortunately, in August it returned as a brain tumor. Mike has been fighting fearlessly against this disease and he’s winning!

Prior to his diagnosis, Mike was looking forward to five more years as a fire fighter and then retiring on a beach somewhere in North Carolina.

I’m asking everyone, please help support this man’s dream by donating. The proceeds will go towards his treatment, inevitable rehabilitation, and relocation to NC!
