WARNING: Some of the pictures and story are very graphic.
My name is Rob, and recently my brother and his family had their lives turned completely upside down. His daughter and family desperately need your help for legal representation and medical funding.
THE STORY: A little over a week ago, the Bayles family had an elderly neighbor with dementia wander onto their property. She was very confused and asked for help back home. The mother helped her onto their golf cart, and with her children, took her to where she lived. Unknown to the family, the elderly woman’s household was left unattended with the front door wide open, and their pit-bull was loose. As they were helping the elderly lady off the golf cart the pitbull ran outside and viciously attacked the family unprovoked.
First the dog lunged at their two year old son two times during which he sustained injuries to his face. Their four year old daughter started screaming and the dog then attacked her. Their mother tried to fight the dog off and get her children to safety. It was then the dog attacked again, ripping her daughter from her hands dragging her to the ground, and causing multiple severe injuries to their little girl’s face. She was finally able to fight the dog off of her daughter and subdue the pitbull.
Their mother held the dog for FIFTEEN MINUTES. She somehow managed to find her phone and call 911 as there were no other neighbors home to help. She was repeatedly bitten by the dog on her face and from fire ants all over her body until help arrived. During that time she had to endure watching her children screaming for her while they bled. She was unable to get to them or provide any medical aid because if she had let the dog go the consequences would have been grave.
The children are fortunate to be alive.
They are in dire need of legal and mediation help along with any help to provide for their daughter and medical bills. Her injuries sustained are severe- the worse her doctors say they have ever seen- and will require multiple surgeries and procedures to regain normalcy.
My hope is to get their story heard, get the help they need, and to slowly get their lives put back together.
