local hospital that saved our daughters’ life

On the 19th November 2021, our baby girl was born prematurely at 27 weeks gestation weighing 860g at the Princess Royal Maternity. We named her Aria Leigh Foreman.
Shortly after her birth, it was noticed she was immunocompromised & required a life-saving transplant. This could only be done at Great Ormond Street but Aria required to weigh 2.5kg.
Aria received care from the PRM Neonatal for 3 months before she was transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Neonatal to be cared for by several specialists.
On the 29th March, Aria received her transplant and so far everything has been going well. Aria spent 3 weeks in GOSH before returning back to QEUH.
In may this year she was moved across to the childrens’ hospital and spent the rest of her hospital time in ward 3C.

Aria was 9 months before she left hospital to go home for the first time on the 4th August 2022. Across the 9 months, we met some thousands of amazing doctors & nurses across all 3 hospitals. The care and support we received for our daughter was incredible.
As a family we would love to give something back to the ward, they became like family to us & supported us in ways we’ll never forget.

On the 19th November this year, Aria will be one & we are holding a fundraiser in her name. All funds will be given to the ward for toys & equipment to make other kids stay a bit more enjoyable.
