Local JBLM Soldier Legal Fund

Life has a way of hitting you hard when you don't expect it, something I'm sure every person reading this can sympathetize with. One of our local JBLM army members needs funding for a legal defense case. The accused is a member of the community and a corporal in the army, stand up guy, friend, brother and fellow American. To protect the accused, their name is not included in this request, think of them as your brother, your son, someone you engage with in the community. Maybe you have a military member in your family? Maybe you are a veteran / active duty or maybe, like me, you just want to support our brave men and women in the armed forces.

Freedom is never free, we've all heard it before and most of us never pay for it with more than a "smile" or a "thank you" on Veteran's Day; here is a chance to make a change in the life of one of our own and protect those who work so hard to protect us and grant us the God given gift of Freedom and the Pursuit of Happiness. Legal cases always carry a negative stigma to them, I'm sure we would all love to pretend that everyone accused of a crime is truly guilty and no one in jail today is falsely accused, but sadly, this just isn't reality. More and more often these days we see our incarceration rates rise, and often times for benign reasons. To those of you who question this soldier's character, I would point you to a quote by Abraham Lincoln, one of our Father's of Freedom: “Perhaps a man’s character is like a tree, and his reputation like its shadow; the shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing". Do not let the shadow discourage you from watering the tree; as the Lord does for us, so should we do for others. 

Anything you can give will be used solely for legal defense and will be greatly appreciated both by the family and every brother in arms across the world.
