Local Lahania Family Affected By Wildfires
Donation protected
Aloha , as many of you know the island of Maui has been ravaged by wildfires for the last 4 days. Hurricane Dora whipped the flames with 80 mph winds and our firefighters were overwhelmed. The helicopters we normally use to help with water drops were grounded due to the weather conditions. Because of all these factors, our historic town of Lahania burned in a matter of hours and the death toll is still rising as we sort through the wreckage. The Edmission family lost their home and business all in one night. Eden and her husband Jason operated Hamsa Israeli Exotic Kitchen out of their home with deliveries all over the island. Having only minutes before the fire reached them , they gathered their two small children and dog and fled to Napilli leaving everything behind. Please help this wonderful hardworking family of Maui. We are trying to help them recover from this terrible tragedy and rebuild their business and their lives. Mahalo no kāu kōkua , e malama i kekahi i kekahi.
