Balloch and Haldane Community Council is leading in the set up of the Loch Lomond South Community Development Trust (CDT) to action an asset transfer under the 2015 Community Empowerment Act to protect and save the last remaining piece of public land on the shores of the picturesque banks of Balloch, Loch Lomond.
We are looking for your help to raise funds which will aid in the purchase of this land to be kept in the hands of those who care about it so that it can be used for the betterment of the local community and to create wealth and well being opportunities for the local communities and those who regularly visit the area.
We will as a Community Development Trust be able to apply to the Scottish Land Fund for funding but this will not be for the full amount of money that we need so every penny that we can raise will go towards our goal of saving Loch Lomond.
By donating you will be instrumental in allowing the Trust to fund the process to secure an asset transfer of the Tourist Information building and associated land on the banks of Loch Lomond and the west side of Balloch.
Once purchased, Loch Lomond South CDT will ensure that the land and animals are protected and the building is utilised fully to benefit not only residents but tourists visiting the area, as well as create career and training opportunities for the local community.
Thank you for all your support!
