Hey! My name is Jessica. I'm starting this in hopes to help my dad Locke Smith and his battle with colon cancer.

I've dreaded making this post in hopes everything was a glitch, a nightmare, or that the tests were wrong.

Today it's been confirmed that my dad Locke Smith has a softball size cancer tumor on his colon. He has been at the Dr's for years because something wasn't right. He's been in pain, sick, exhausted and it's to the point he's passing out!!! The Dr's kept telling him to lose weight, or take this and see what it does, until he demanded (and those that know him, know he doesn't demand) scopes and tests.

Boxing day he started not being able to eat without vomiting he's doubled over in pain more often than not. He sat at yarmouth outpatients for 7.5 hours and was told "you're constipated, go home, stop taking your iron!" ...that's it..... well here we are.... 3 weeks later, the surgeon tells him it's cancer and they are admitting him tonight!!! This man would give the shirt off his back, all the time in the world, has the softest heart and is the first person to show up to someone in need.

So, while he undergoes treatment, surgery, has days he can't move, the helper could use the help. If anyone is able to help out with a donation to help him out until he's able to get healthy again, everything and anything is greatly appreciated.

He's the most amazing person in the world!! Cancer is vicious.

*edit 1* he has been admitted to halifax. The tumor has 90% blocked his colon. The colonoscopy couldn't see past the tumor and the Dr's are unsure i f its attached it self to other organs. Surgery is soon to follow.
