Locking Arms with Gabbie

Today, I get to tell the story of my dear friend and team mate Gabriela. If you've hired Makeup by Ana B, you've probably had the pleasure of her skilled hands working on your hair. Gabbie has been my wing woman. Last year alone, she worked on over 50 weddings with me. I thanked God always for the dedication and the talent Gabbie brought to Makeup by Ana B. Earlier this year, Gabbie gave me the shocking news that she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and she could no longer work. As her friend, I felt so helpless. As a business owner, I felt so vulnerable. I began the crazy process of replacing our lead hairstylists for many weddings as she entered a new reality of chemotherapy and treatment. The artist community rose up to help me during a difficult time.  And God has been faithful and has provided the medical care that Gabbie needs.  She has been private about her diagnosis because she would never want to worry or inconvenience a single person. She has always put others before herself. But I want to show Gabbie that she IS SEEN! She is SEEN not only by God, but she IS SEEN by our artist community, and our Makeup by Ana B family and friends.  It's our turn to put Gabbie first so that her sweet family doesn't have to also endure the incredible loss of income she has had to experience over the last 6 months.
