If you're reading this, you came here from Twitty or BSky and you know what the concept is: one hour for every dollar you donate at this link, without limit. Just to clarify:

1. This money (minus whatever transaction fees GoFundMe collects) goes directly to Planned Parenthood. I couldn't touch any of it, even if I wanted to.

2. You will automatically get a tax receipt indicating that you made a charitable donation so if you're in the United States this is tax deductible.

3. I'll be doing this challenge regardless of whether it misses the goal or massively exceed it. However many dollars get donated, that's how many hours get added to the timer.

The fundraiser ends at 11:59 pm on Monday September 30, which is also when we're starting the clock.

The beneficiary of this fundraiser is the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. They do incredible work in terms of birth control, abortion access, gender-affirming care, and a whole lot of other forms of healthcare. It's work that gives a lot of people dignity and freedom and bodily automony, which is really important to me - and obviously a lot of that is under attack right now in the United States. As an immigrant I can't vote in this country, so doing fundraisers like this is one of the ways I can actually participate in making society a little better, if that makes sense.
