Logan and tammy haggerty

Hello everyone...i have created this go fund me for my son and his mother. Logan is currently in Philadelphia due to the failure of a closer hospital. Currently he has has many blood transfusions due to a hematoma in in calf inside a large "tumor" for lack of better words. This all started from a wound that could be considered to most as a carpet burn. Since he has been in Philly his condition has not improved...if anything they are getting worse! There has been numerous blood transfusions and many surgeries since getting there ..swelling has moved to his thigh and there is a strong possibility of more hematomas ready to burst. His Mother is basically sleeping in his room as neither of us can afford to get her a hotel room for even a few days. Meals are also not free. So she depends on the vouchers she gets to be able to eat. Logan will be in Philly for an extended period of time as will his mother who stands by his side thru all his trials and tribulations! Feel free to follow "logans medical saga" on FB to see just how long this Journey has been(link at the bottom)...thank you to all who are willing to help his mother and Logan to have some non hospital food as a meal or a comfortable bed once in while while there...and the unexpected costs that are out of pocket while there.

4/13 update: the latest surgery was not as hopeful as planned. Still one day at a time! But there was no reducing of the tumor due to the removal of another hematoma and major bleeding! Poor kid is still having major pain but asked for a peanut butter and jelly sammich and one of his peep flavored pepsies that one of his nurses brought him...god love this hospital for all they are doing for him!

4/16/2023 update....I (Terry) have a very high tolerance for pain...however i can say with 100% confidence that i would not be as strong as Logan with this ordeal! I will soon post where cards and gifts can be sent to him at the hospital...he loves getting mail...if its just a card thats amazing...if its a gift card or anything that brings a smile to his face then its a win and one step forward for him! Once again..thank you all for all you do.

Today at 2:00pm Logan went back to the OR for his 8th surgery/procedure. The first part was for a Irrigation and debridement (clean out) then a skin graft was done using a form of synthetic skin. Then once that was done they replaced the wound vac again. The procedure lasted around 3hrs. We were back in his room around 6:30pm.

If all goes well with this procedure and the graft takes and he starts to heal after 4 weeks They will go back in and do another skin graft this time using real skin.

This seems like a last resort shot because when I asked the Doctor what happens if this doesn't work? He just shook his head and said "I don't know."

Please keep the prayers coming we're going to need them. The next 4 weeks are gonna be tough. He's got a long healing process to go through he will still go in every week for cleaning and dressing changes! For someone who doesn't heal well We need all the prayers we can get right now!

Logan is scared and obviously in a lot of pain thank you again for all your prayers and continued donations to the GoFundMe page. It means the world to us.
