Logan Shuey's Medical Expenses and Burn Recovery
Donation protected
We are calling on our community, friends, and family in a great time of need. My nephew Logan Shuey was in a tragic accident on DEC 3rd 2022 in which he was severely burned. He was rushed to UNC Burn Center and admitted to the Jaycee Burn Unit. He will be in the hospital no less than a week but possible 2-3 weeks. He has 2nd degree deep burns and his recovery is going to be long. He had surgery to remove dead skin and assess the wounds on December 6th. He will require long term OT, home care, burn/skin care with expectation for full recovery in 6 months to a year. Many of you know my sister Shannon Shuey and her husband Bill Shuey. Both have been an asset to the community. Shannon has given her life career to educate and provide better opportunity for all of our children through Lee County Schools and Bill has been a backbone in providing our children with extracurricular opportunity and keeping our parks maintained through Lee County Parks and Rec. Shannon and Bill have 2 other children, Brayden and Carson, whom we are taking care of but this will definitely be a time of adjustment for them both as well. Logan is an avid sportsman and has a wonderful heart and this accident is a significant challenge for him and the family. We are calling on this great community to help give back to the Shuey's! Hospital bills, travel expenses, and food expenses will add up very fast and we are asking for support no matter how small. If you believe in our Lord above, please continue to pray for complete healing, strength, and comfort during this difficult time. We know God spared his life because Logan is meant to be with us as he has a greater purpose and more to do here on this earth! If unable to donate please share and help spread the word so we can offset any financial burden. God Bless each of you!
