Logan's Top Surgery

Hello Friends! My name is Logan, I'm a twenty-year-old college student from Memphis, Tennessee. A few years ago I came out as genderqueer to some of my closest friends, and this past year I came out as nonbinary.  I have received so much love and support from those around me, and have never been so happy and comfortable in my own skin. The last big obstacle between where I am now and my best self is my chest. I have had a lot of physical and mental issues with my chest since hitting puberty. I have a smaller frame and a large chest, so it has become incredibly painful on top of making my dysphoria worsen. I bind almost daily, which helps to an extent, but full removal would greatly improve my quality of life.

I just got approved for top surgery after years of trying to find the resources to do so. This surgery would remove the breast tissue from my chest, which would alleviate so much of the dysphoria I have been experiencing since I started puberty. It would mean I could stop wearing binders, which can eventually cause pretty extensive muscle and tissue damage. Even more, it would help me be my most authentic self. The money I raise here will go toward the surgery and medical costs, as well as recovery. If there is any leftover, I will pass it on to someone else receiving gender-confirming surgery.
