Loggers’ Run Medic Bag Project for School Safety

Donation protected
Hello, My name is Austin Foote!

I was inspired to create this project after the tragedy at my school (Marjory Stoneman Douglas, Parkland, FL)  on February 14, 2018, where my friend was saved due to a makeshift tourniquet from a student in her classroom. Using this event as a framework, I decided to broaden the reach of my Eagle project during the Coronavirus Pandemic to help benefit students and teachers during this global event while also helping in the case of another emergency, like the one that happened at my school.

We will be creating a number of “medic bags” that contain items to be used in case of an emergency, along with other items that are now useful due to the ongoing pandemic. Each bag will contain (1) Single-use Tourniquet, (1) First Aid Kit, (1) box of latex gloves, and (1) box of disposable face masks.

We hope that with the completion of this project, we can help alleviate the damage from serious injuries in potential school emergencies in the future, along with keeping teachers and students safe and healthy during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Any donations are welcome! We plan on having all funds raised by March, and having the project completed by the end of that month.

Thank you!
