Matt Logsdon's Cancer Battle Fund
Donation protected
Matt Logsdon is a 10 year veteran of the Lexington Fire Department, currently serving as a firefighter/paramedic/rescue tech on Engine 8. Matt was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer affecting his liver, lungs, spine, and skull. Matt and his wife Jessica have 3 young children ages 16, 10, and 8. Matt is a non-smoker with no family history of cancer, which I believe speaks volumes about the "hidden" dangers we are exposed to as firefighters, from toxic smoke to other dangerous chemicals. I am a fellow friend and brother firefighter, who just last week witnessed Matt make a heroic effort in helping to save the lives of his fellow firefighters during a structure fire. This money will go directly to the Logsdon family to help cover the expenses of cancer treatments, child care, and the many other associated costs of the grueling battle this family has already started to face. I speak for ALL of the Lexington Fire Department when I say WE THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE who finds it in their hearts to contribute to this campaign!
