Help Lois fight rectal-colon cancer
Donation protected
Hi All, Ron and Kathy reaching out to you today.
Over the next few months, Lois will be in a fight she never wanted. In March, she was diagnosed with rectal-colon squamous cell cancer. We are still early in the process, scheduling PET CT scans, having radiation treatment molds made, and scheduling for her port.
She will have intensive precision radiation treatments 5 days per week for 6 weeks, with 2 concurrent rounds of chemo.
She has a type of cancer that many practitioners only see once or twice in their careers, and it is often misdiagnosed as hemorrhoids, but those are smooth and round, this had sharp edges and an atypical color to the skin. The Specialist, Dr. McConnell sees this type of cancer weekly and is at the top of her field in identifying it. She is now under the care of 2 oncologists.
Our family is scattered around the country, which makes logistics a bit of a challenge, so this GoFundMe is being arranged to assist with costs of transportation from the East Valley where she lives, to the West Valley where her specialists and treatments are being scheduled, as well as all other associated costs.
Any donation will be appreciated, and if unable, please send prayers for healing, strength, patience, and skilled practitioners.
