Lola Children's Home Emergency Project Fundraising

Lola Children’s Home is a registered NGO based in Mekelle, Tigray (northern region of Ethiopia).  Lola was founded by Abebe Fantahu an orphan who escaped the 1985 famine in Tigray.  Lola is established to improve the lives of orphan children especially those affected by HIV and provide them with a brighter future.  Lola is currently providing accommodations, education and health services to over 80 orphaned children. 

Lola Children’s Home is raising funds to support women and children who are displaced due to the ongoing war in Tigray. Currently there are 4.5 million starved and 2 million internally displaced people in Tigray. They do not have sufficient access to basic necessities such as food, water, clothing and healthcare. Lola is organizing emergency project to provide shelter, food/water, health services to the most vulnerable: children, pregnant and lactating mothers. Lola also provides day care services to children of single mothers allowing them to go to work and lead their households.
