Lola's (Was Tetra) Life Saving Veterinary Treatment Appeal

The Yorkshire Rescue desperately need your help to pay for an emergency vet bill of £2011.02 for treatment that saved Lola’s (formally Tetra) life.

As with all the dogs we re-home at The Yorkshire Rescue, we ensure they are neutered. Lola was spayed post adoption due to the timing of her season. This is normally a straightforward procedure and Lola should have been in and out the same day. Unfortunately disaster struck. After the spay she suffered a severe allergic reaction which left her fighting for her life. 

Lola collapsed after a seizure and was rushed back into the vets where it was discovered her organs had begun to fail. We were told she may not survive. 

Lola’s new owners were distraught. All we could do was pray while the vets fought to save her life. There was no way we were giving up on her. Lola’s new family drove an hour each way every day to be with her and willed her not to give up. Against the odds, Lola made it through and after four days of intensive veterinary care showed signs of improvement. She’s eventually been allowed home to regain her health and strength.

After such a traumatic event Lola is getting back to her lovebug self with her new mum and dad and cat sister! She is so happy!

Lola (formally Tetra) came to us after being rescued from being locked and maltreated in a cellar. She was emaciated and in such a sorry state. The trust and love she has shown since being rescued and rehabilitated just proves what a beautiful dog she is. She needed a special new family to give her the fabulous life she deserves and was lucky enough to find the most amazing couple to share her life with. Despite difficult circumstances themselves, they selflessly adopted Lola, and she has blossomed with them, while giving them the love and comfort only a dog can. 

Lola’s vet bill currently stands at over £2000. Lola’s family have kindly raised funds towards it, but we NEED you to help us! We are a small charity and a bill like this is crippling when we rely on public donations to keep going. If you can spare one pound or ten pounds, every little helps. We need to keep rescuing dogs like Lola but can only continue to do this with your help!
