Lolo Francisco’s Funeral and Hospital Bills

Donation protected
My grandfather's name was Francisco Viernes Jr, also called "Lolo Boy" by his grandkids, and my mother cared for him very much. Lolo, in Filipino, means "grandfather."

Recently, Lolo was called home by the Lord on Sunday, Aug 14, at 6:50 AM.
Our warrior breathed his last despite the frantic moves of his medical attendants to revive him. His frail body, which had undergone numerous procedures and taken various medicines, with his arms already violet due to a lot of punctures, could not take any more pain. It was time for him to rest.

However, our family in the Philippines could not bring Lolo's body home yet. The hospital bill has mounted so much that we must pay 500,000 Philippine Pesos (roughly around 9,000 USD) in order to bring him home.

My Tita Framelia and my younger cousins pleaded all day with the hospital to accept the money they had on hand just so they could bring home Lolo's body, but nothing could be done. Finances have also been exhausted by the daily meds administered to Lolo for the past 50 days. On top of hospital bills, there is also the cost of Lolo's funeral.

So again, we ask our relatives and friends to please help us bring Lolo home to lay him to his final rest. Para kay Lolo.
