Lomanikoro Nakasaleka Village Hall

Hi, my name is Alivereti Naco and I’m from Lomanikoro, Nakasaleka, Kadavu in Fiji. I now live in Norwich UK with my wife Emma and our little angel Evie Lavenia.

I grew up in my island village for most of my childhood and eventually moved into the city for education and work.

My village have been trying so hard and have done their very best to build a community hall back at home for everyone to be able to get together and enjoy village celebrations but due to all difficulties and hard circumstances over the past couple of years, it has been really tough to finish it.

The villagers have managed to plan and to build the foundations of our dream village hall but there are some more materials and building stuff that needed to finish up. They are currently really struggling to make this happen.

This community hall is needed to help the ullage come together, for the children to celebrate milestones like birthdays and special ceremonies in their life, for the community to celebrate and mourn and for individuals to be welcomed when they want to visit our village.

The community is planning to do a big fundraising on 26 November 2022 to raise the funds to finally finish the community hall.

Me and my 1 year old daughter Evie will be walking 5 miles from Cromer Beach to Sheringham in Norfolk to help raise some funds to contribute to our beloved village.
