London Half Marathon for MENTAL HEALTH FOUNDATION - 6 April
Hello everyone!
Usually, you’ll find me running through mud or tripping over my own feet (photos uploaded!) but in April 2025, I’m lacing up my shoes for something a bit more exciting: the London Landmarks Half Marathon! And guess what? I’m doing it for a cause that’s super close to my heart: the Mental Health Foundation.
Every year, we scribble heartfelt wishes in our Christmas and birthday cards, often saying, “I wish you all the best, especially good health.” But let’s be real—what does that even mean? Good health isn’t just about not getting a cold; it also means taking care of our mental well-being! We all deserve to chase what makes us happy and to accept our past while paving the way for a brighter future. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and everyone should have access to the support they need. Because let’s face it—without mental health, happiness can be as elusive as a well-placed sock in the laundry!
Many of us have faced our own battles with mental health. It’s high time we recognize that mental health matters! We want to be seen, and it’s crucial that we keep mental health in the spotlight instead of letting it remain a taboo topic lurking in the shadows.
So, why am I running 21 kilometers for the Mental Health Foundation? Well, I’ve never run that far in my life, and athleticism is not exactly my middle name. But I’ve found that running helps clear my mind and gives my mental health a serious boost. Who knew that putting one foot in front of the other could feel this good?
Now, here’s where you come in! I’d love for you to consider donating to this important cause. Your contributions will help support mental health initiatives that really make a difference!
And as a little cherry on top, if I hit my fundraising goal of £350, I’ll be running the race in a taco costume! Yes, you read that right—a taco! Because who doesn’t want to see a taco waddling through London?
Thank you so much for your support. Together, we can make a difference—one taco step at a time!
