London Marathon 2024 for MediCinema and YLvC

We're Matt and Dan and on 21st April 2024 we'll be taking on the TCS London Marathon for MediCinema and Young Lives v Cancer.

But why are we doing this? Because now, more than ever, these great charities are in desperate need of your kindness to keep their services going to help those affected by cancer and illness.

Young Lives vs Cancer help families find the strength to face everything cancer throws at them. They shape the work they do around six core principles; providing emotional and/or financial support, community nursing and accommodation provision, bereavement support and advocacy

MediCinema believe in the power of cinema – a good film enjoyed together makes everyone feel better. MediCinema gives patients and their families a break from the ward and all the difficulties of being in hospital through the transformative power of cinema. They do this by building, installing and running cinemas in places of care. Their cinemas are specifically designed to comfortably accommodate wheelchairs and hospital beds whilst maintaining a real and immersive cinema experience away from the wards for patients and their families.

How your donation can help:

£12.60 gives one patient a night at a MediCinema

£15 pays for a social worker to support a family, helping them find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them.

£30 could help fund essential technology to provide support remotely to young people and families affected by cancer

£37.80 gives one family of three a MediCinema screening together

£75 gives a nurse shift at a MediCinema screening

£100 pays towards a financial grant to ensure families affected by cancer facing money worries can pay for basics like food

£317.92 gives an entire MediCinema screening
