London Marathon 2025 in support of the TTP Network
In January 2022, my sister, was diagnosed with Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP), a rare and life-threatening blood disorder that none of the family had heard of. A few searches later, we understood the significance of it. Mortality from TTP was 90% in the era before effective treatment
My sister's ongoing resilience and strength through this is a testament to her character. And, not to forget, all of the other "TTP warriors!" (a phrase shared at a recent TTP event in London).
This UK-based charity provides invaluable support, connecting my sister with resources, information, and a community of others facing a similar diagnosis. The work the TTP Network do is vital, not only in supporting patients and families but also in funding research to improve treatments and ultimately helping patients live their lives as normal.
In April 2025, I’ll be running the London Marathon in support of my sister and the wider TTP Network. Every mile I run is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for this incredible charity, which continues to be at the forefront of our family and many others. It's a small feat in comparision, but any event is a great opportunity to get the TTP Network name out there!
I’m asking for your support—whether through a donation, sharing this cause, or simply cheering me on (virtually or on the streets of London). Together, we can help the TTP Network continue their essential work and bring support to those affected. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
