Save the London Spanish Book & Zine Fair
Donativo protegido
Hello, I'm Silvia Demetilla and I've founded the London Spanish Book & Zine Fair, a non profit community event in 2019 with help of La Tundra Revista's team, a well known printed magazine in Spanish in London since 2011.
This year the London Spanish Book & Zine Fair is celebrating its fifth edition on Sat 7th and Sun 8th October and we are asking for your help as we haven't been granted the usual funding by the Arts Council of England that put our budget in a dramatic decrease. This is a huge set back to our community all as the book and fanzine fair contributes in such a way that the people who participate in this project can access a space for the promotion and recognition of their literary production in countries other than their origin. The fair also contributes to cultural communities as it values and highlights their identity and relevance.
The London Spanish Book & Zine Fair will use your donations to accomplish its goal helping us carry out the planned activities, paying the talks and workshops facilitator's fees and volunteers and part of venue hiring. All donations are welcome, there are no minimum or maximum amounts. If you can't help us this time, please share our crowdfunding among your friends, thank you!
The fair will take place over two full days on Sat 7th & Sun 8th October and will have 30 stalls, 11 talks, 6 workshops, children activities, an outdoor paste up workshop and activity and a Poetry Open Mic.
London Spanish Book & Zine Fair is a very welcome yearly community interest event in London that showcases Spanish, English and dual language publications, presentations and workshops by Ibero-American authors and publishers alongside works by authors of other nationalities that may be of cultural interest to the programme.
Your donation will support publishers, writers, translators, fanzine makers and illustrators taking part at the fair. Thank you!
