Lone Oak Therapeutic Animal Fundraiser

Please consider making a donation of any size to Lone Oak Animal-Assisted Therapeutic & Educational Services. Your donation will be used to pay veterinary bills, buy high-quality feed, and provide needed supplements to our herd of rescued horses.

Lone Oak is a registered 501(c)3, 100% voluntary organization that provides trauma-informed services to children, families, adults, and school groups in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. We partner horses who have experienced trauma with humans seeking services and we provide care to both.

Four women lead Lone Oak. We are highly qualified mental health providers and educators, and we are deeply committed to providing innovative and affordable services to vulnerable members of our community. Growing a fiscally sound organization is a priority for us; we understand that doing so will allow our work to continue. We routinely seek funding, write proposals, and expand our networks so that we can continue providing services and care for our animals. Despite these organized and persistent efforts, the care of animals, especially animals that have experienced trauma and abusive and/or neglectful histories is unpredictable.

We have decided to begin this GoFundMe effort to build an emergency fund. This fund will allow us to respond quickly and fully to all of our herd members, providing them with the very best care, the care they deserve.
