YEAR FIVE!

Announcing the FIFTH annual Long Live Daddy Pete Community Wellness Day is an absolute privilege and honor.

While the landscape and people may have changed since we started in 2020, the need is still great and, in some ways, more dire than in previous years. I have teamed up with SHARE Community again to provide a day of respite, wellness, and fun to the unhoused community in Antioch. Together we will provide hot food, mobile showers, and supplies to help folks gear up for the winter season.

I know one day of services will not solve the very complex issue of homelessness, however, by honoring my father in this way you all help me cope with the never-ending grief of his absence while also connecting with the community to provide them with something many of us take for granted: a warm shower, warm food, clean clothes, and most importantly a renewed sense of self-confidence, and the dignity of being seen.

In turn, folks are reminded of their self-worth and refreshed- literally.

Daddy Pete taught me, it is never the wrong time to do the right thing.
