Our family is devastated by the murder of our 16 year old daughter La'shantee Kirkpatrick. On October 14, 2019 La'shantee was stabbed in the chest in South Los Angeles and died alone. Senseless violence has stolen our child from us, from her prom, her graduation, and her future. Shantee was the light of our life and now this crises has left us with a deep darkness of uncertainty we are lost. Shantee was a loving sister, daughter, niece, granddaughter and cousin; she was funny, charismatic, smart, beautiful and talented. Shantee loved to run and was a favorite on the track and field team at Crenshaw high school with very good potential of scholarship opportunities.

This is a loss. An unrecoverable wound. A loss so deep that in the aftermath of this event we cannot stop bleeding. We bleed for her. We are asking for any help to lay our baby to her final rest. Lashantee is survived by: Her Father Derek, Her mother (Shanta), Her 3 brothers: (Derek Jr, DeAndre and DJ), Her baby sister(Nyla) Her 2 grandmothers  (Sheila and Mary Williams)and her uncle (Jermell), and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
