LongTails Rat Rescue

Hi, we are LongTails Rat Rescue based in Tamworth, Staffordshire. We are a Pro-Life, not-for-profit organisation that specialise in rescuing and rehabilitating pet rats!

Rats are an incredibly misunderstood creature - they are highly intelligent, clean, social and love to play, they often make great pets but due to the cost of living crisis we have noticed an alarming amount of rats being given up for adoption. All animals deserve the right to live their lives in a clean, safe environment with access to specialist medical care and love.

We rely heavily on donations and are all volunteers - we are a sanctuary so our animals are not sent back out to unsuitable homes. We specialise in taking on rats who are hard to handle, lone, or skittish and work with them to bring them out to their full potential.

All donations we receive go towards their daily upkeep, from food and bedding to habitat and medical needs. Everything we are kindly donated goes straight back into caring for these wonderful animals and ensuring we meet their needs day in and day out.
