Friends of the Lonsdale Public Library

Update 2/28: The main damages are covered by insurance, but this is a good opportunity for updates and to bring our library back better than ever with the help of the community to make that happen.

Hello, everybody! My name is Michelle Odean, and I'm fundraising for the Friends of the Lonsdale Public Library.

As many of you know, a flood in early January caused the library to close, damaging all furniture, shelving, and infrastructure. It also interfered with the Friends of the Library annual book sale, which typically generates around $800.

This fundraiser has been created to humbly ask for donations to support the Friends of the Library in the coming year with the unexpected loss of book sales and closure of the library.

The library is looking to further improve upon reopening with the addition of book browsers for the kids' area, bean bags for the teen area, and more.

The more funds we raise, the better our ability to create a welcoming and comfortable space for kids, teens, and adults alike. Even if you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser would be so helpful to get the word out.
