Looe's New Years Eve Fireworks

My name is Tracey Pickard and I am one of a small group of volunteers who is coordinating the 2024 NYE Firework display in Looe, in partnership with the Looe Development Trust.

The annual displays on New Year’s Eve are one of the highlights of the year, for both residents & visitors to the Town.

With a family display at 6pm & the reveller’s display at midnight, the displays are not only a great way to celebrate, it’s also they are also of key importance to our tourism & hospitality sector in the middle of winter.

How Much Are The Two Displays?

The costs of the displays are around £6,000 - all other aspects of the running of the event are carried out on a voluntary basis.

So far, thanks to generous donations, donations from Looe Town Council and more than 15 local businesses, we now have secured over £5,000.

How Much Funding Is Still Required?

Our aim is to raise a total of £8,000. This pays for the 2024 display and enough funds to carry forward to pay the deposit for the 2025 display (which is due in May).
