Nānā i nā Hōkū
Donation protected
For over seventeen years, each month Kumu Leilehua has traveled up the slopes of Maunakea to share stories of the stars which glide above. At last, she is compiling the stories and writing them down for publication.
Nānā i nā Hōkū, "Look to the Stars," will include her stories, illustrations, charts, and a glossary of Hawaiian stars and constellations - the distillation of over thirty years of research, storytelling, and notes, and almost twenty years of sharing through traditional storytelling.
Now, you can help this book become a reality. Your $25 donation puts you on the pre-order list for a signed first edition. It is planned to be published around October 2020 - in time for Makahiki. If all goes well, that will be just in the nick of time for holiday giving!
