On August 28, 2024, what was BREAKING NEWS on ABC 8, Facebook and other social platforms was BREAKING HEARTS in South Florida. With rent prices becoming high, good paying jobs hard to find, 12 men, 1 young women boards a van to Texas to find what might be a better place for them and their families. Their names plastered on the news websites, Facebook and different articles doesn't tell the full story of the souls lost that day. Only that they lost their life in a horrific accident.
While the story is being told all over. I am looking for Junior. Junior Louis, 35 brought to Medical City Denton. Quiet, observant, eager to learn and hopes for a brighter future for his 2 kids and wife. Known to his family as helpful, giving, even when he didn't have. The photo uploaded of him, is a photo he took right before he was going into an interview to his wife. But on this day, here I was looking for Junior.
First thing I heard, he was in an accident and he didn't make it. I am still look for Junior. If I didn't hear it from the doctor myself, Junior is still there. Every hospital number I called, no Junior. Under Facebook post for those who has the story up. No Junior. Was this a dream. No, the pictures are there to be seen. Tears, heart racing. I am looking for Junior. On the same August 28, late past 6pm, I was told that he is at Denton. Wait for a call he is alive.
Joy!!!! But today 08/30/2024 there is no joy. Junior is not here. One article said the death toll increases. Junior has been added to the death toll. Junior has lost his life looking for a better life. Death has taken a young man from the 2 children and young wife who seeks the right words to answer her children. "Mommy, what doctor did daddy go." They are looking for Junior.
Please help us. It is with great tears that I write. The best words or grammar doesn't begin to make sense through the hurt, pain or blur of the tears. We want to bring Junior home and lay him to rest. We will no longer look for Junior but he will be buried closer to home. Please help us.
