Looking For Me Short Series Pilot

Donation protected
Looking for Me stars Dayna Dooley as “Lisa the Life Coach".

Lisa's sole mission in life is to become the next Tony Robbins. But before she can do that, she has to figure out how to pay next month's rent, hold on to her last surviving client, leave her ex in the past, and in short, get her life together. Lisa faces all of this, all while maintaining an already precarious reputation for giving good advice.

Tune in below to experience Lisa's coaching style.

This campaign will benefit up and coming BIPOC filmmakers, and the funds will go towards hiring the cast and crew, obtaining necessary permits, equipment, and location rentals, prior to our April 3rd production date. All additional funds will be allocated towards COVID supplies and crafty services for this project.

The visionary leader behind the Looking for Me series, Asha Flowers, hopes to employ other BIPOC content creators and to offer a springboard to launch more collaborative opportunities in the future.

Asha was inspired by her love for the OWN Network and shows such as Super Soul Sunday, Oprah, Masterclass, Iyanla Fix My Life, and Iyanla’s Saturday morning anti-viral web show on Facebook. She wanted to create a character who shared her passions but took it a little further. Lisa is experiencing her own growing pains, while also trying to lend a hand to those around her. Lisa truly believes that she can help, and has something special to offer the world.

The team is beyond grateful for any and all support towards this production that will help bring Asha's vision to fruition.

You can find more information below about the show's creator, and the amazing team that's been with her on this journey.

(SHOWRUNNER, WRITER, DIRECTOR) ASHA FLOWERS was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University with her Bachelor’s degree in Women's Studies.

While studying the politics and history of the oppression of both women, and people of color, Asha decided to dedicate her future work to shedding light on their often neglected and marginalized stories both on, and off-screen. She hopes her work as a writer, director, and producer, will aid in offering authentic and diverse portrayals of these groups.

Along with the festival run of her successful directorial debut project, ’Til Death, Asha has also shadowed director/showrunner, Tanya Hamilton, on Ava Duvernay’s Cherish the Day for OWN Network. She is a proud alumnus of the inaugural class for Women in Film’s INSIGHT program.
