Towards looking after our 13 rescue cats

Donation protected
Any support very gratefully received.

Not sure how to begin…….

We are all heart broken, if you have been in to meet us you will know we love all these cats like our own. We spend most evenings messaging each other in group chats with stories/suggestion/support.

Chris started the cafe as it had been a life long dream and we have tried everything but can’t afford to keep going with things as they are.

We are not prepared to not give the cats the best and that has involved lots of vets visits in the last year which you have kindly helped with raising funds including Trixie recently and we were blown aware by generosity but it didn’t cover all the tests and treatment and she needs lifelong medication. That’s just one example. Heating costs, refuse collection, the lists goes on.

We have been asked by lots of customers/supporters to set this page up after posting the below on Facebook and again astounded at the amount of love. If you could spare £1 it will all help get through to June.

No words will convey what a hole shutting will leave in lots of people’s hearts.

Hello to all of our lovely followers/customers/sponsors . It’s with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that after 7 years the cafe will be closing at the end of June .
This decision has not been taken lightly but sadly since Covid the cafe has not been supported in the way it was previously so we are unable to continue. As everyone is aware the cost of living, rising electricity and food prices have taken us to a height that makes it impossible to make ends meet .
The cats are and always will be our priority and if anyone has any questions please send us a private message as we are not able to respond on social media .
To all of our sponsors and regular customers we will miss you and thank you all from the bottom of my heart .
We have had a few messages asking what’s going to happen to the cats . Some of the cats will be looking for new homes at the end of June but the others will remain in the cafe after it
closes with the same level of love and care that they have always had until they find new homes . We have already got new homes lined up for some of the cats. I know we have just had Xmas and we aren’t expecting a miracle but anything will help enormously.
