Lorena's Post-Hurricane Renewal
Donation protected
After Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico, I lost contact with my good friend, Lorena. Not knowing if she was ok or her family was nerve-racking.
Since we met in Arizona, during internship, she has been so kind and warm. Once, when her mom was visiting from Puerto Rico, she invited us over for a delcious dinner. It was so nice to be surrounded by family. Another time, and many others, when I have been super stressed, she takes the time to reach out and ask how she could help. She is the type of person that will be there during the good and the bad.
Thankfully, a few days ago, I finally heard from her and it was such a releif, but things are not going well for her. She mentioned that everything was destroyed and she was in need of batteries, water, and something to kill flies.
She mentioned she has no ability to communicate from her town and that the banks are closed. I have not heard from her since Wed. Sept. 27.
Please help me help my sweet friend, Lorena, and her family recover from this awful disaster.
Any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated. I am sure Lorena and her family will more than appreciate your kindness.
Thanks again!
