Lorestrome's Maelstrom

A good family, D. and B., that I've known for over twenty years have had a recent tragedy.

Their garage burned down, officials saying it was an electric fire caused by critters, taking out most of D's tools and their new car.

Insurance is covering a lot of it, but is falling over 10k short.

These folk are good people, and tons of friends are offering to help but they're refusing.

I say: screw this pride we've been tricked into.  This isn't flexing and this isn't charity.  This is about being neighborly and loving good friends.  Internet friends are real!

So anyways: let's make this anonymous so they can't pay us back. Ha! Take that!  Be appreciated!  Fuck toxic masculinity and the conditioning they give us as men who aren't rich.
