Lori Borino’s fight against Invasive Lobular Carcinoma

Hi my name is Christa Borino and I am fundraising for my amazing and strong mom Lori.

On March 12, 2024 my families world turned upside down when my mom, Lori Borino, received the devastating news that she has stage (3b) Invasive Lobular Carcinoma, with metastasis to auxiliary lymph nodes.

This is a very aggressive form of cancer, it’s currently inoperable and she has a long road ahead her.

My mom has gone to two oncologists to see what her treatment options are. However, both doctors said practically the same thing: a very aggressive form of chemotherapy is needed, followed by radiation and then another round of chemo.

Sadly, my mom’s heart condition will not allow her to undergo the aggressive chemotherapy that her cancer needs to beat it.

Envita Medical Center in Scottsdale, Arizona has a very promising prognosis for my mom.

However, we then learned this treatment is not covered by insurance.

This treatment will cost us $30,000 per session and she needs to go a total of four sessions for 2 weeks each time.
