I was impacted by my dear friends words. Please help.

“I'm just scared I suppose. Housing security is the one thing I've always wanted and never had.”

This is my friend Lori and her family. I love this woman dearly and not just because of the person she is or the mother that she is or even the great friend that she has been to me, the brightest part of her is her undying love, compassion and dedication to the animals that she cares for every single day.

Lori provides a service for Squirrel Refuge that is essential to the operation. The hardest cases we tend to go to Lori. She literally spends hours upon hours day and night caring for the sickest or the absolutely worst injured animals we bring in. Her dedication is unmatched.

Lori also has a family that she cares for with the same energy, care and love.

Unfortunately Laurie has gotten a notice that she needs to move by the end of October. Just like so many of us she just doesn’t have the means.

I’m asking all my friends and family to help this family make this move. Not only for her family but for all these animals. I can’t even begin to express how many animals would’ve died if it would not of been for her. She has a real talent and touch for what she does.

Please help Lori and her family carry on with her life and the very intricate part she plays in our rescue, rehab and release endeavors. Even if it’s five dollars, all of us together can help ensure the safe efficient care that Lori provides.

We can help provide the shelter that each and everyone of us deserves and strives for. The cost of moving into a rental a person will spend $5000 to $6000 easily. This is not OK.
