Lori Garrett

Lori Garrett passed unexpectedly over this past weekend. As a friend of the Garrett family, I’m crushed by this loss and my heart is breaking for them. Lori was a loving mom to Trevor, Haleigh and Molly, who each inherited her kindness and compassion for others.

Lori’s love touched so many lives. As school nurse assistant, Lori went above and beyond to support and advocate for BMS students. I have been reminiscing with some friends who felt her love first hand. Stories were shared of how Lori saved the day, from driving to get middle school girls new pants so that they wouldn’t be embarrassed of unexpected stains, to offering a hug when a trip to the nurse’s office was just an excuse to be comforted. Lori was the type of person who cared when it felt like no one else did. Lori always showed up for her community, family and friends with an empathetic and selfless heart. Let’s come together as a community to support the Garretts during this excruciatingly painful time.
