Lori Janowski Memorial Fund

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we report the untimely passing of our dear colleague and friend, Lori Janowski.

Lori was a member of the Division of Student Affairs for 20 years and her passion involved teaching students about college access and her dedication to making a students transition to college a seamless one.

Anyone who knew Lori, knew she had a huge heart and willingness to help anyone around her. This included her nephew, Ryan Janowski who lived with her the last several years as he attended Hunter College as a student and now current peer advisor.

Ryan has been by Lori’s side every step of the way as she battled cancer the last year and he needs our help now more than ever as he transitions to living alone and balancing out the bills without his Aunt Lori here any longer.

Let us come together and help a fellow Hawk in need. Our goal is to raise enough money to cover a year of rent in the apartment he split with Lori, so he doesn’t have to carry additional financial stress these next few months.
