Lori Lowenstein-Mase Children's Education Fund

Donation protected
Lori loved everyone and everything... and nothing more so than her children who meant the world to her.

As a teacher she knew the importance of education and as a tribute to her we have established an Education Fund for her two youngest sons to help ensure that both boys will have the opportunity to complete a college education.

In the fall, Jake will be a junior at Rutgers University and Nick will be a junior at Westfield High School.

A Tribute to Lori from her sister Wendi:

Lori lost her valiant battle with cancer on May 25th, 2020. She was as strong as anyone you have ever met and fought this battle with tremendous courage and grace. Yet this horrific disease took her from us way too soon.

Everyone that knew her loved her. She had a special gift that was truly magnetic. She was fierce in the way that she lived and the way that she loved. Despite the many challenges she faced throughout her life, she always remained optimistic and hopeful everything was going to work out, and she did everything she could to make sure it did.

Lori was a gifted singer and made the rounds on the cabaret circuit in NYC and performed in numerous musical productions on the Jersey Shore, continuing to perform throughout her life. Critics were always duly impressed, but stardom was tossed aside to focus on raising her family whom she loved and adored immeasurably.

When it came to her family, Lori was her kids’ No. 1 fan. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her five children, and she did it all! She attended every game and meet, and even coached her sons’ basketball teams. You could always count on her to lead the stands in cheering on their teams. She was known for her legendary victory dances, as anyone in those crowds over the years can attest to!

Following her passion to help those in need, she went back to school to get a masters' degree in Special Education. She was a passionate teacher and advocate for disabled children and their families.

Lori lived life to the fullest. She was always the life of the party, especially on the dance floor. Whenever she was around, you knew you were in for a wild time!

Her smile, sense of humor, her appetite for life (and Italian food), her generosity and adventurous spirit will live on forever in those that had the good fortune to know her.

There will never be another Lori.
