Lori Payne Cancer Battle (Lori Strong)

Donation protected
Lori, a mother to 4 children, Kelcey, 30, Kaitlin, 27, and twins Kiley and Kaleb , 14, who attend Wren Middle School. She is a grandmother of 5 (expecting number 6 by way of adoption).  Lori is a loving wife of Barron (Bo) Payne who has been by her side since her initial diagnosis of thyroid cancer in June, of 2016.  In August of 2017, her cancer returned to her lymph nodes for which she underwent another surgery.  Lori recently celebrated being cancer free in August, 2018.  Weeks later, she experienced severe headaches, dizziness  and vision changes. In November 2018  doctors discovered 13 tumors across the entirety of Lori'a brain.  During her visit to her oncologist, Lori was diagnosed with aggressive metastatic brain cancer. Lori is undergoing radiation therapy and future undetermined medical procedures to help improve and prolong her quality of life.  Medical bills and loss of work is making this challenging journey extremely difficult.

Lori fills her life with family, she lives to share her love.  Her children and family will tell you she is the thread that keeps her family connected.   Lori's son, Kaleb was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 3.  She committed herself to seeking every therapy available and walked him through each stage of progress.  His diagnosis led Lori to work with Family Connection of South Carolina.  She assisted in starting a social playgroup in Anderson County for any child with special needs.  As a parent of a child with Autism, Lori understands that inclusion is paramount and she worked diligently to ensure that each child feels they belong and can participate in social settings.  Lori worked for a Chiropractor in Anderson until her diagnosis with metastatic brain cancer.  She takes pride in caring for others mentally, physically and spiritually.  She cared for her patients as part of her family.  As a selfless caregiver, Lori also worked part-time caring for the elderly in their homes.

Lori thrives when she is surrounded by family and the ones she loves.  She is a natural caregiver and truly fulfills her calling by helping others in need.  Now we are asking that those who Lori has selflessly helped and supported to show her the same compassion.  Lori's prognosis is irreparable - but we know she is a fighter!  She will do everything she can to continue to love and support her family and especially her children and grandchildren.  Please consider blessing Lori with a donation and support this family through this difficult journey they have ahead.  If you can't make a donation please lift her and her family up in prayer, send her words of encouragement and consider adding her to your Church prayer list.

Thank you for your love, support and prayers.

You are the God who performs miracles.  Psalm 77:14
